“Finding My Way Back to My First Love
The story of Suela
I gave my life to Jesus when I was just a teenager. Those early years were full of joy — I was going to church regularly, growing in faith, and feeling truly blessed. It wasn’t easy; my parents strongly opposed my “change,” and at times the tension at home was heavy. But even in the struggle, my heart was full, and I treasure those memories.
Later, when I became a student, my focus shifted. My studies and career goals took priority, and slowly I stopped going to church. Weeks turned into months, months into years. One by one, I lost contact with my Christian friends. I still believed in God, I still called myself a believer, but my Bible sat unopened. My heart began to feel empty, and I knew something was missing.
One day, while listening to Radio 7, something inside me broke. I realized how far I had drifted, and I knew I needed to come home — to recommit my life to God. From that moment on, I began listening to the radio every single day. Through the voices of the pastors, especially the Albanian ones, I’ve found inspiration, guidance, and a renewed fire in my soul. They challenge me to live as an active believer — someone who makes a difference in my country.
Today, I can say with all my heart: I’ve returned to my First Love. Thank you, Radio 7, for being God’s instrument in bringing me back.
