New Beginnings: Sharing the Gospel Through Media in Kosovo
This February marked an exciting new chapter in Gospel outreach as two weekly television programs began broadcasting from studios in Kosovo. These shows are a heartfelt co-production between TV7 and the local church Familja Church, created with a shared vision: to proclaim the Good News and strengthen believers across the region and beyond.
The first program, “One Day in Life” is hosted by Pastor Driton Gashi and brings powerful testimonies of faith, perseverance, and transformation from Albanian believers in Kosovo. The inaugural episode featured a truly remarkable guest—Pastor Nike Krasniqi, widely recognized as the first Christian believer and pastor in the country.
In a deeply moving conversation, Pastor Nike shared how he came to Christ during one of the most turbulent periods in Kosovo’s history. He recounted the early days of the Church—how small fellowships were planted under immense pressure during the years surrounding the last Balkan war. Despite uncertainty and hardship, those whom God called stepped forward with unwavering faith in His power and promises.
His story beautifully echoes the truth of Zechariah 4:10: “Do not despise these small beginnings, for the LORD rejoices to see the work.” What began in fragile circumstances has, by God’s grace, grown into a living testimony of His faithfulness.
After more than 40 years of dedicated service, Pastor Nike continues to inspire generations. His message remains clear and urgent: the Church must use every available tool to share the only Good News that brings true hope and salvation.
Subsequent guests on “One Day in Life” have shared equally powerful testimonies—stories of deliverance from drug addiction, accounts of standing firm in the face of persecution, and heartfelt calls to renew passion for evangelism, especially in some of the most unreached areas of the country.
The second program, “Loved and Chosen” speaks directly to the hearts of women across Kosovo. Hosted by Ina Gashi, the show seeks to uplift and equip women to walk confidently in their God-given identity and purpose.
Through prayerful preparation, Ina invites women of influence to share wisdom and encouragement on topics that matter deeply in everyday life. In its first months, the program has explored themes such as spiritual growth, trusting God through difficult seasons, motherhood, raising children with strong Christian values, balancing work and family life, and building healthy, Christ-centered marriages.
At its core, “Loved and Chosen” reminds every viewer of this powerful truth: each woman is deeply loved by God and chosen for a divine purpose.
The response to both programs has been overwhelmingly encouraging. Viewers from Kosovo, Albania, across Europe, and even in the United States have shared how deeply they have been touched by the testimonies and teachings. These broadcasts are not just programs—they are instruments of hope, reaching hearts, strengthening faith, and advancing the Kingdom of God.
As these shows continue to grow, they stand as a testimony to what God can do through faithful obedience, even from small beginnings. May He continue to use every story, every word, and every broadcast to draw many closer to Himself.
