More than 1,000 pastors and ministry leaders from 55 European countries and territories gathered in  Berlin, Germany, on May 27-30 for the European Congress on Evangelism—a four-day event hosted by the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA). With powerful worship, passionate preaching, and moments of heartfelt prayer, the Congress served as a rallying call to reignite evangelism across a continent increasingly shaped by secularism and spiritual uncertainty.

Media 7 was honored to be officially invited to report on this historic gathering. Throughout the Congress, our team had the privilege of conducting over 26 inspiring interviews with speakers and participants from the Balkan countries we broadcast, capturing compelling stories of faith, mission, and unity.

Enkelejda Shelburne Interviewing Rev Franklin GrahamRev.Franklin Graham, president and CEO of BGEA and Samaritan’s Purse, called on Christian leaders to stand firm in their convictions and boldly preach the Gospel: “If we’re going to reach Europe, we’re going to need an army—an army of evangelists—unafraid, unashamed, unapologetic, standing on the Word of God.”

Each day, twelve speakers from various nations brought messages rooted in Scripture and focused on the Gospel’s power to transform lives. Among them, Rev. Ulrich Parzany—a longtime partner in Billy Graham’s German ministry—warned that biblical evangelism is vanishing from many churches. In our interview with Rev. Parzany we focused on the importance of Biblical authority in Evangelism and why this is more critical in our time than ever before. He said, “The Bible must be the foundation of our preaching, not the decoration.”. Rev. Parzany, gave practical advices for young people in the Balkans how to be bold and do not compromise under cultural pressures.

Our team was honored to have a special talk and interview with Dr. Amy Orr-Ewing, a British theologian. Dr. Amy helped our audience understand how the WOKE culture challenges traditional Christian belief and biblical authority. She shared with us practical advice how the church can preach both Truth and Grace when engaging in conversations about gender identity, justice or inclusivity. Dr. Amy Orr-Ewing gave a special message to young evangelists in the Balkans to root themselves in Scripture and at the same time add grace to their talk.

Rev. Gunnar Mägi, president of Tyndale Theological Seminary Europe, emphasized that the answer we have is bondage-breaking and it brings generational change. In his interview with our team, Rev. Gunnar Mägi, reminded the pastors and Christian leaders in the Balkans that “The Lord and not self, should be the center of a Christian leader’s life. He continued, You have an anchor much bigger than you! Trust in Him!”

Dr. Helder Favarin, the CEO of Community Bible Study, in his interview shared the importance of preparation when we share the Gospel. He shared with our audience in the Balkans practical advices how we as evangelical believers can prepare for the Harvest. We are all players of the same team, we have different positions but we are all called to be instruments in God’s hands.

In the coming days, we look forward to sharing with our viewers the powerful interviews we conducted with Rev. Franklin Graham, Cissie Graham Lynch, Rev. Charles Price, and many other influential speakers of the event. These conversations offered both encouragement and challenge—urging believers in the Balkans to live out and share the Gospel with passion and conviction.

We are especially excited to feature insights from pastors and leaders across the Balkans, who participated in the Congress. They shared both challenges and opportunities for the Body of Christ in the Balkans in these season. 17 pastors from the Balkan countries of Albania, Kosovo, Serbia, Macedonia shared how the Congress impacted them and are all calling on the church in the Balkans to rise with courage and proclaim Christ to the next generation.
Our news team prepared special reports daily for all of our radio stations and TV channel, and the response from our audience—especially from Albania, Kosovo, and across the Balkans—was overwhelming. Many believers were inspired by the vision of unity and revival and expressed a renewed desire to see the Gospel boldly proclaimed in their communities.

Media 7 is committed to the Gospel work in the Balkans and honored to have a part in inginiting a new flame of fire for Jesus accros our divided region that needs to heal from the deep wounds of the past. Challenges are certain, BUT our the hope in Christ remains unshakable.
